Gundam Breaker 2 Review

Gundam Breaker 2 Full Review

Breaker 2 is truly the gateway game as far as the gundam series is concerned and like most English speaking fans of the gundam and gunpla franchise I really wanted localization.

Only option for the purchase is to buy an import which is not as much of a disaster as it sounds the game has enough English for you to pretty much workout what is what. Breaker 2 was released a week before christmas December 2014 in Asia a for PS3 And Vita. Aimed at Asian market Japanese and Chinese Versions are available. However in the history of PS3 only one game has ever been region locked so like every other PS3 game breaker 2 is region free.

Anyone can Enjoy
As a anime fan I find it hard to involve  friends who are not into anime which is one of the reasons I love this game I remember playing federation vs Zeon  co op on PS2 split screen with only arcade accessible years ago and wishing for a gundam game in which I could complete the actual story mode with friends in  co op. Fortunately this game has come around and the co op story mode is exactly the same as in one player mode.

Does Breaker 2 Have A better Story Than Breaker 2?
Well the easy answer is yes gundam breaker 1 had no real story so getting a story mode in breaker two is a plus even if you don't know Japanese it gives you something to at least follow. If you still want a Gundam breaker 2  English translation there maybe a substitute given the popularity of the breaker series I would not be surprised if it gets translated by a fan. Option two learn Japanese something every animé fan has been swearing they would do. Or option 3 partition now it maybe to late for breaker one and I've seen this fail on a breaker 2 attempt however I believe that this franchise is strong enough that if we start now we can get a big enough partition for English Gundam breaker 3.

Gundam Breaker VS Gundam Breaker 2 VS Full Boost

Well lets basically say everything breaker did breaker 2 does better even more
customization and the controls are sharper the options for mobile suit design is extensive you can build pretty much tothe anything from all of the gundam series. Brand new environments that also interact boost last longer in space and water and the vehicles add so much fun to the game. Melee attacks are much faster and really exciting making  close range combat hard to resist.

A couple missions in you unlock the scratch command and can upgrade parts which I actually prefer to purchasing i like a levelling system it makes me feel as though my MS is growing with me as I get better at the game so does my MS where as the same could be said with a purchase but to a lesser extent.

Even the painting system is much better which brings us to gundam extreme vs full boost.
If you want a straight up battle game extreme vs full boost takes the cake but for the customization breaker 2 gives you so much more. You can build a wing zero, epyon, strike  you name it.

Bandai Builds Better
What I like about bandai is there ability to keep building on previous games  so they tend to get better with each release usually. The dbz budokai's kept getting better so did the tenkaichi's minus ultimate so has naruto, tekken and so have a whole lot of ps1 ps2 ps3, vita DS and soon to be PS4. With western brand games they tend to focus since the PS3 to heavily on graphics sacrificing gameplay because they start the design process from scratch each time.

What i want from Gundam breaker 3
1.
I would like to see more originality for the enemy tactics like in breaker, the breaker 2 cpu tends to resort to swarming in order to increase the difficulty.
 2.
A western release English release.

Gundam breaker 2 is truly worth while for anyone new or old to the gundam franchise whether you understand Japanese or not.
